The program calls for the extensive exterior renovation of an existing industrial building located in an area predominant in corporate headquarters. The building's facade on the street side was originally a utilitarian warehouse, and thus the building owners felt the need for the exterior design to be renovated in such a manner as to accommodate a new level of research/office/industrial user.
